APPLICATION PROCESS

Please follow the steps below to apply:


STEP 1: Call the Northwest Fund office (206-386-7220) to discuss your project. Please call Pam Fujita-Yuhas regarding Growth Management proposals or Salt Water Aquatic Ecosystem Protection proposals, or Zoe Rothchild regarding Fresh Water Aquatic Ecosystem Protection proposals. Please follow this same step for Community Response Fund inquiries or if you are unsure where your request falls.

STEP 2: If staff determines that your project meets our guidelines and criteria they will email you a Cover Sheet and guidelines for your Letter of Inquiry (LOI).

STEP 3: Complete Letter of Inquiry Cover Sheet and write two page Letter of Inquiry. Submit together by February deadline via email.

Unsolicited full applications or LOI's that are not accompanied by a current Cover Sheet will not be accepted.

STEP 4: Wait for notification of invitation to submit a full proposal (generally three weeks). All applicants will be notified of the status of their LOI at the same time.

If you are invited to submit a full proposal:

STEP 5: Upon invitation to submit a full proposal you will be sent the appropriate application form and guidelines.

STEP 6: You will have 3 to 4 weeks to complete and submit your full proposal.

STEP 7: Anticipate phone calls from Staff regarding the proposal.

STEP 8: Wait for notification of funding decision. All full proposal applicants will be notified of the decision by phone and letter.
