Although it is difficult and
somewhat arbitrary to assign a project to
only one NW Fund grant guideline, an effort
was made to identify the primary guideline
being met. 74 (about two-thirds) of the
grants, funded with $604,943, supported the
enforcement of environmental laws and
protecting biodiversity; 26 grants funded
with $211,932 supported strengthening the
effectiveness of environmental organizations
or the environmental community as a
whole. 14 grants funded with $101,700
supported activities fitting multiple
guidelines.
